How Long Should my Blogpost Title Be?
When you write a new blogpost, you must give it a title. There is no hard set rule on how long your title should be, but there are some things to take into account.
This is what I consider when creating a title for a new post:
- The layout of my site, how is the title going to fit my blog?
- The SEO repercussions of my title
- The “proper” style
Generally, you want your title to be about 50 – 90 characters in length. This seems to be ideal for Search Engine Optimization and this length also tends to fit most layouts nicely.
